Is there a cost for services at IGE? How do I find out if I qualify for funding to get in to these programs?
The majority of the training expenses are generally through Department of Human Services, Division of Developmental Disabilities, other funding sources may be available dependent on the individuals disabilities. The Rehabilitation Services Intake person can help you access these funding sources. IGE does not accept any private payment for Rehabilitation Services. Individuals enrolled will be asked to pay for at Illinois Growth Enterprises is transportation. Occasionally, the individual may also be asked to pay for special events, outings or professional services.

How much do I get paid for my work at IGE’s Production Facility?
All consumers are paid commensurate wages by their employer for all work performed. All commensurate wages comply with state and federal laws and rules of the Department of Labor. Most consumers will be paid at a piece rate. This means you are paid based on how much of your assigned jobs you complete. Some consumers are paid at an hourly rate, the pay scale is determined using a formula that weighs both the quantity and quality of their work.
What are the work hours at IGE’s Production Facility?
IGE’s Production facility offers full and part-time hours for individuals enrolled in our services. Day shift hours are available Monday – Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 2:35 p.m., Night shift hours are offered Monday – Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. The actual hours you work are determined by your availability and production contract demands.
How will I get to and from my job at IGE’s Production Facility?
Transportation to and from the job is your responsibility. Access to transportation may be your own vehicle, provided by your family, friends and community support staff, provided by Rockford Mass Transit/fixed routes or Para-Transit or Stateline Mass Transit, Rockford Mass Transit Fixed Routes #20 Alpine Cross Town, #22 North Second Street, #23 IGE Express Services or IGE’s private contract for night shift.

How long will it take to get a job through IGE’s Rehabilitation Services at the Clinton Road Production Facility?
For access to Rehabilitation Services it is our goal to make a determination regarding your eligibility for services within 45 days of receipt of your completed application. This time frame is dependent on your follow through and the availability of your documents related to your disability. For individuals determined eligible for Rehabilitation Services you will be placed on an enrollment waiting list. For current enrollment wait times please contact the Rehabilitation Services intake person.
How will my paycheck affect my Social Security?
That depends on the type of Social Security benefit you are receiving. We encourage you to talk with Social Security. If you have further questions after talking with Social Security the Intake person working with you can review this with you. For consumers working in the production facility you will be asked to sign a release of information for Social Security. IGE must report all consumer earnings to Social Security on a routine basis.
